If you love a good mystery, second chance romance and firefighter romance then this is the book for you.Naya is an investigator journalist, who is up for a promotion. Looking for a story she runs into an old friend/flame. I loved reading about Naya! She was a good strong female character. She had her flawless but by the end she was as working through them. I wished I read more books with investigator journalist characters. Those characters always end up on a wild adventure and I’m here for it.Zack is part of the Firefighter Rescue Squad. He’s back in his hometown to prove that he isn’t the trouble former foster child. I could gush about Zack for hours. I loved that Zack was always trying to improve himself. He had goals and plans and he followed through with them. I loved reading about him and Naya trying to rebuild their friendship and solve a mystery.I haven’t read a lot by Laura but this book was super good! Rescued Duty is a fast paced book. I had a hard time putting this book down to be a responsible adult. This book is part of a series but you don’t have to read the others in the series if you don’t want to. Rescued Duty by Laura Conaway is way good. If you love a good mystery, second chance romance and firefighter romance then this is the book for you.
