Do you have one word that describes 2023 for you? I just read that Oxford University Press selected the word "Rizz" as the top word this year. MY WORD is Travel. I was back to travel ✈️ this year. ✅ I traveled to see clients and speak at conferences. ✅ I also visited 🇮🇹 Italy this summer, along with half of the 🇺🇸 ✅ I am committing to myself to travel more next year. So please tell me - what is YOUR personal word for this year? And please do tell me WHY. #personalbranding #personalbrand #travel #oxforduniversity https://lnkd.in/gXKM2VcE
I'm going with perspective. Never have I prioritized maintaining a clearer one than I have this year. It's both calming and an enormous help in staying focused and organized. Great question, Sandra.
100% 'AI' for my team and I!
My word is family. IT's always been very important to me, but the older I get, the more and more I'm thankful for it and appreciate it :)
Hey Sandra! It's great to hear that you had a year filled with travel. Traveling not only allows us to explore new places and cultures but also broadens our perspectives and enriches our lives. As an expert in the industry, I encourage you to continue embracing the joys of travel in the upcoming year. Whether it's for work or leisure, traveling opens doors to new opportunities and connections. Wishing you many more exciting adventures in 2023!
As a year of firsts I actually had two words, Patience and Why... I planted a garden from seeds and this taught me to water and fertilize and keep up the work even when harvest was far off... I raised chicks this year that taught me the same... all of this saying in the moment and doing the unpaid work that leads to harvest later... I started a business this year as well... and I am putting in the unpaid work that leads to harvest later... The why was the reason I needed to keep going knowing I would harvest later and I celebrated my small wins along the way...
I always love the word, "Travel!" But for next year, I think I'm going to choose "No," again for my word and theme. Every Yes had to be defended by a thousand No's. And I have to remember that...again, LOL.
Interesting. I have never even used the word, "rizz" in a sentence. My top word for 2023 is family. I lost too many this year which is reminding me to cherish those I have now.
Fulfilling
Transition. 2023 is the year I said goodbye to both of my parents, I managed a litany of estate issues, my youngest child graduated from high school, we moved to Maine, and I began my search for a full-time job. I've never had a year where I needed to adapt to so much change. Runner-up word: Resilience.

1yGood question! "Innovation" is my word for 2023 Sandra Long. Innovation is so important, and yet so much innovation is lost in organizations due to well-intended leadership actions.
