These recipes are beautifully photographed so you have an idea of what you are making even if you are not familiar with all the Italian names.     Probably the title should be 'made easier' instead of 'made easy', because some of these recipes are pretty involved. However, you can find much more complicated versions out there if you want.

    Plenty of them are pretty easy though, and every one i've tried has been great. The jam cake and chocolate buns make great sweet-but-not-too-sweet deserts (they're listed as 'breakfast sweets' in the book, but even my 1st grader said that they're too sweet for breakfast). There are several plumcake recipes in here, and i had never even heard of plumcakes before - they're sorta like pound cakes but not quite, and like pound cakes, there are nearly endless variations.

    If you want to spend time and effort on something really impressive, some of the crostatas are swoon-worthy. And of course, there's also a tiramisu recipe.
