#TeamMetrics can be game-changers. 💥 But are you tracking the right ones? 🧐 If you take Kaizen seriously, read on. 💡 Agile teams thrive on continuous improvement and adaptability. Self-assessment isn’t just a measuring tool but a compass guiding teams toward their potential. It enables teams to understand their strengths, identify areas of improvement, and delve deeper into work dynamics beyond mere output. The true essence of self-assessment in Agile is fostering transparency, collaboration, and relentless improvement. It’s not an audit; it’s a mirror reflecting a better version of your Agile team. This article comprises well-known self-assessment tools; use them or have them inspire you to create your own assessment. 👇 Join the conversation and enlighten us with your approach on how to improve continuously. Cyril Gaujous what do you think? What do scrum masters of #Amadeus think? Can we improve from standard ATMAs after a few times measuring them? Maybe creating a next iteration of assessments for teams?

Thank you for the reference Stefan Wolpers. We hope that our tool brings a more model-based and scientifically-supported approach to guide continuous improvement in (and around) teams. Plus, teams can also aggregate the results from many teams (in the same organization).

Thank You for the mention of Crisp Happiness Index Stefan Wolpers. We still use it and have some 10 years of data 😀

Assessment and the metrics are debatable, however it is always nice to be searching for the ways to improve oneself, believing more value can be delivered and it is what matters. Thanks.

You could also use the Agile Work Practices Instrument, which we validated with data of 269 teams (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/1359432X.2022.2096439) together with Arnold Bakker, who also developed the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale ! 😎

You might be interested in a framework I've been developing over the past year called PETALS. It's similar to the Scrum Value Radar model but focuses on some surface-level factors: Productivity, Enjoyment, Teamwork, Learning and Serenity (opposite to Stress) Individuals rate each factor out of 5, results are visualised and averaged across the team for conversations around any trends and outliers. Happy to talk through it with you but it's been adopted quite well across some of our engineering teams, using it as a regular light touch benchmark and conversation starter in retros. More details available on the website https://petals.team/
