If you share your expertise on LinkedIn, ask yourself 3 questions before you publish your next post: 1. Who will care about this? 2. What will it help that person accomplish? 3. What’s the most surprising thing you mentioned in the post? If the answer is “nothing,” go add something surprising to it. *** Btw, here’s how I’d answer those questions for this post: 1. Experts who share their expertise on LinkedIn will care about it. 2. It will help them write stronger posts that connect with their audience. 3. They’ll be surprised by the concept of analyzing posts for surprise factor. (A tip they’ve probably never heard before). And they’ll be surprised I ended the post by analyzing the post itself. So… Were my assumptions correct? 👀
Damn! Saving this right away. I follow this usually: Your content must include at least one of the 4 purposes 1. Inspire 2. Educate 3. Entertain 4. Persuade/Sell If it doesn't include at least one of these don't post it. I love these questions. Will ask them Josh Spector 😎
Boop! Gold sticker for your, Josh.
Thanks Josh Spector, this is gold, just added this as a step in my posting process.
Good questions to ask before you post anything—anywhere.
Josh, love the meta-analysis! It's clever. Reminds me that we strive to make every project at Belov Digital not just effective but also unexpectedly delightful for clients. How do you measure the impact?
This is really well done. My only suggestion is to be mindful of your tone and humor. Although we all like to be entertaining sometimes it’s hard to convey that side of you via text or an edited video clip.
