Go study the profiles of two of your followers. Which one's a better fit for your product? Which one would you rather have as a customer if you could only have one? Consider why you chose that person. Congrats, you just got more clarity on the characteristics of your ideal audience. Now go adapt your messaging accordingly.
Another Bonus Tip: Do this a bunch of times with a bunch of different followers. Each time you do it you’ll learn something new, or start to see some patterns.
Good take.... but which two followers do I choose? That is the question!
Josh Spector so simple and impactful, yet so rarely done. Clarity is 🔑
Nice. I can think of many ways to apply this tip--thanks for sharing! Love your newsletter, by the way.
What a great exercise.
This insight was so helpful Josh Spector. Still working on building up my own audience, but this is exactly what I needed! Thank you for sharing!
I teach experts how to use writing to grow their business.
1moBonus tip: If neither of the followers you check seem like a good fit for your product, then ask yourself… Why are you attracting people that don’t align with what you offer? You may have a messaging/content problem.
