Recently, I had the privilege of participating in an incredible course titled "Rock Your Profile" on LinkedIn, and I couldn't be more grateful to have had Gustavo Llopis as our instructor, along with the collaboration of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. LinkedIn has always been a platform that I've valued for its professional networking potential. However, Gustavo Llopis took our understanding of this platform to a whole new level. The "Rock Your Profile" course was an enlightening journey through the intricacies of crafting a compelling LinkedIn profile that truly stands out. Here are just a few of the invaluable lessons and insights I gained from the course: optimizing my profile, networking strategies, content creation and personal branding I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Gustavo Llopis for his dedication, expertise, and engaging teaching style. One of my favorite things to do is share knowledge with others about the career I love. Thank you Visda Carson, Scott Ford and Dor Sela for inviting me back to your class to speak to juniors and seniors from University of Colorado, our leaders of tomorrow, about “how to establish your own personal brand.” Here are a few tips I shared from my guest lecture; tell me if any of them resonate with you? 👩🏫 There are 3 components to your personal brand: who are you, what do you do best & what makes you unique. 👩🏫Make sure you tell your brand story using LinkedIn: draft posts, write articles, and link to other work – find ways to repurpose work you have already done. 👩🏫Impress those you meet: an old fashioned thank you note goes a long way and at the very least, a follow-up email after you have meet someone is a must.
