LinkedIn Profile Videos were a hot 🔥 thing just a couple of years ago. Now LinkedIn is removing the feature as of December 11. I am sorry to see them go. Here's what LinkedIn recommends as an alternative: ✅ Upload the video to your Featured Section ✅ Pin it to the top And I will add my two cents 🪙 to this advice: ✅ It's a great time to update your video ✅ If your video is strategic, then mention it in your About essay and point the reader to your Featured section. Then prospects who read your About essay will be looking for the video. If you lost the original video, just email LinkedIn and ask them to send it to you. The email is contentsupport@LinkedIn.com If you never used this feature, will you consider creating a video now anyway? ( Why not!) Thanks for the heads-up on the newest notification Judi. Thanks so much Sandra Long for these helpful ideas. I got the email today from LinkedIn about those profile videos going away on Dec. 11 and was trying to decide what to do with mine. I especially appreciate having the link to where I can get the profile video from LinkedIn.
I'm sorry to see it go. So few people took advantage of it but I always got a lot of positive responses to mine. I'll probably add it to my featured section but will double check it still works there. Maybe time to do anew one.
LinkedIn profile videos, I kinda liked the feature, but never got to actually making a video. I have a lot of videos in my posts now, so I guess it solves for itself. Thx Sandra Long

1yI'm sad but not surprised to see this disappear Sandra. I'm not keen on the video-in-post idea and would rather upload a standalone video. This isn't as easy as it sounds however!
