Speaker friends! Let's talk about our speaking and workshop topics. How do you develop or update your topic for presentations? Here are some possible ways to help you decide: ✅ Passion and Personal Knowledge ✅ Audience Interest ✅ Relevance to your Target Clients ✅ News, Trends, Emerging Issues, and Industry Insights ✅ Niche Topics and Unique Subjects ✅ Audience Impact ✅ Artificial Intelligence Over time, we need to evolve our topics by taking feedback, research, collaboration, and continuous learning into account. My main talk is "LinkedIn for Personal Branding (TM)" and is also the title of my book. I also talk about...... Networking, Social Selling, Conference and Event Marketing and Networking. What about YOU? How do you develop your topics? What is YOUR talk called? Sincerely, Sandra Long Post Road Consulting: LinkedIn Consulting and Training
My best topics have come from an intersection of what clients say they want and my own passion and expertise. Your enthusiasm for your 'LInkedIn for Personal Branding(TM)' topic is clear Sandra Long!
I recently launched Micro intro sessions of The Career Advancement Mind Mapping Program TM based on several elements you mentioned: my passion, experience, and tangible outcomes for the participants. My program consists of a unique perspective, a different angle, and niche method in approaching the planning for one’s career journey and future. I have not hone in on a particular target audience though because the program is beneficial to every individual at any stage in their career, from emerging professionals to retirees.
Sandra Long I am developing my workshops based on my passions and experience. My book, Rejecting Fear Learning to be Led by Love is the basis for my main talk, “overcoming self-limiting beliefs and freeing our heart from trauma.” I have developed my other main talk based on client transformation. “What did you say?” Ousting the inner critic.
Sandra Long, I combine my communication expertise with the needs of my clients, and then customize my talk. Although there are commonalities with talks and they could have the same title, they aren't the same. If you understand the client's industry and use language to help connect to them, they are more tuned into your message.
My most popular topic now is "Elevate Your Influence with VIrtual Executive Presence." I think a topic has to start with passion and personal experience, and then you can usually find an audience!
It's a great list, and I'd add Feedback! What are people saying they like and want more of?
You are definitely the go-to person for all things LinkedIn-related, Sandra Long...and your two books on personal branding and maximizing your profile are must-read guidebooks! 🌟

10moGood question Sandra I have always looked at the market need and created new programs but my messaging was getting diluted so when I created my newest signature program The Elements of Adventure I started with my sweet spot/unique gifts. Then I researched and validated the framework. And I customize to the client. It's a much better process!
