Certifications are great to have! And the good news is that you can display them on LinkedIn for your clients and colleagues to view. But where? ✅ Licenses and Certifications section. Just "Add Profile Section" if you don't currently have this profile element already activated. ✅ Featured section. You can either link to the certification OR grab a screenshot of the certification image and upload it to Featured. ✅ Headline. Consider adding your certification to your headline. You have up to 220 characters. ✅ Banner. Make a visual of your certification. ✅ About Essay. If your certification is key, why not talk about it a bit in your About Essay? Weave it into your personal story. ✅ Experience section. (An alternative to the About possibly) You can also certainly discuss your certification in your Experience section. Which ones of these do YOU use? What is your favorite? Will you make a change? Thank you to the amazing NBB group today. I am running a class about certifications on LinkedIn for them. They are awesome. Sincerely, Sandra Long Post Road Consulting: LinkedIn Consulting and Training

Just finished watching the NBB replay of the training Sandra. I’ve added one of my certifications to the Featured section. Making a square image rectangular took a quick side trip to Canva, but I was able to successfully add it.

This is great, Sandra Long! I am offering a Certified Whale Hunter designation and certificate in my new Whale Hunters Institute. Great ideas I can pass along to people who are considering it or when they finish!

Thanks Sandra Long for sharing so many ways in which we can let folks know about our certifications via our LinkedIn profile. Here's something I learned the other day from a client - when you associate one or more of your top five skills with a certification, then that certification appears to the viewer of your profile when they click on that skill in the Top Skills section, along with positions in Experience (and other parts of your profile where you associated that skill.)
