What do you, Donald Trump, David Beckham, and Taylor Swift all have in common? Regardless of your status, position in the world, or amount of money you earn, you like them all have the same amount of time in each day. The difference between the ULTRA successful and those whose life passes by is how they use time. Do you waste it or do you treasure every 1,440 minutes that you get each day? Utilising the most precious resource we all have is a skill and also a challenge. Managing your time effectively is the subject of this week’s podcast. Start before you’re ready. This is something I tell and push clients on every week. It’s so freaking hard to get anything done. Perfectionism. Layers of approval. Dozens of meetings. Record the first podcast. Write/send the first newsletter. Write the first post. Stop thinking/talking about it and learn something this week. Then make the adjustments. 

Don't get it twisted. You can read all the books, listen to every podcast, take every course... You can accumulate knowledge until you’re a walking library. But lets get it straight. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴. Knowledge is POTENTIAL. Action is POWER. Growth happens when you’re willing to step beyond understanding and into practice. 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄.

One of the concepts I challenge my teams with is getting 1% better everyday. James Clear has a blog on this and he dedicated also dedicated a chapter to it in Atomic Habits. In this podcast, Brian Cain shares a great way to operationalize this concept in our lives and on our teams. In a day, 1% is equal to 14 minutes and 24 seconds. If there is an area in our life that we want to get 1% better each day, focus 1% of your day on that given area, and see where you are in 90 days.

You only get one chance to make a first impression with your podcast. First, your listener sees your artwork. Second, they read your description. And third, they (hopefully) press play. 🤔 So how do you write a description that takes a potential listener to a long-term fan? We have some ideas and examples of what we mean by them, too. Lean into your cringe or protect your cool? I found this article from Vogue in the start of 2023 challenging our need to always embrace our cringe. My latest podcast 'Face your cringe' accepts that anytime we push ourselves outside of our boundaries we feel the cringe and a part of us resists it. What do you think?
