Today I had the opportunity to speak to meeting professionals associated with MPI Westfield – a chapter of the Meeting Professionals International association. I have always had great respect for meeting professionals, but as I prepared to present to them, it reminded me just how strategic ♟ they are to the organizations they serve.   Think about it. Meeting professionals need to be all of these:   ✅ Aligned with Organizational Goals and Objectives   ✅ Data – Driven Decision Makers   ✅ Embracing Technology   ✅ Focused on ROI   ✅ Risk Managers and Contingency Planners   ✅ Stakeholder Managers   ✅ Focused on Sustainability and Social Responsibility   ✅.  Focused on Continuous Improvement   QUESTION: Today’s presentation was my main topic - but oriented specifically toward these professionals. The talk is “LinkedIn for Personal Branding.” Today’s best meeting planners are very strategic but how can they use LinkedIn to help them?   HERE's HOW. Savvy meeting professionals are often thought leaders too. They can align their LinkedIn profiles and content with the top strategies and latest industry trends. They can connect and engage with other thought leaders. They become “top of mind,” and referrable by leveraging LinkedIn content and engagement strategies.   What a pleasure to meet them today via MPI WestField.   LET ME KNOW: If you are meeting professional, what can you add to this? Which one of these strategic focus areas is most important to YOU? How will you improve your profile? I would love any of your ideas on this subject.   #MPI. #MeetingPlanner #LinkedIn

I have been on LinkedIn since 2013. I never found it useful and always thought it was silly when my roommate would ask if I was on LinkedIn. When I graduated college in 2016 that’s when it hit me. That I needed to use LinkedIn as a product and market myself to buyers. Before this class I always thought I was advanced LinkedIn. I didn’t realize everything that could be done and it is open my eyes to realize I’m probably just a beginner. Thank you so much for speaking on this topic. I’m excited to see what I can do with LinkedIn.
