A simple way to help your audience FINISH your content: (They’ll love you for it!) Consider everything you’ve created. How much of it is designed in a way that your audience can “finish” it? And how can you package your creations in a way that makes it easier for them to do so? A few suggestions: If you’ve published a podcast for a while you’ve got a ton of episodes and new ones come out all the time. That’s almost impossible for your audience to “finish.” But… You can create separate playlists of podcast episodes around specific topics and limit them to 5 episodes per playlist. Those can easily be "finished" by your audience. Then message it to your audience in that way. Something like this: “Do you want to take my free newsletter growth masterclass? Here it is: The five most valuable podcast episodes I’ve done about newsletter growth in one playlist. Once you hit play, you’ll be five hours from “graduating” with a newsletter growth masters degree from Josh’s Podcast U. Good luck!” This doesn’t just apply to podcasts. You can package anything you create in any way you want to give people a clear end point. They’ll appreciate it. (And be more likely to consume more of your content.) Speaking of which... What topics would you like me to create content "packages" around for you?
Yes, we humans love storytelling. Beginning, middle, end. Checking that final box. Love this idea. Great content :)
Having something great to say is one thing; packaging it is another. The two combined are gold. To be honest, I've focused more on having something great to say and only incrementally thought about packaging. The 'be so good they can't ignore you' line is good in theory, but I've learned that if you don't package it correctly, it's really hard to finish. And finishing definitely matters.
Everything you share is pure gold. Nothing but gems. Never, ever go anywhere. I know we have your clone but nothing can replace you. 💎 💎 💎 💎
Is it possible to package and promote content from other creators, in this way? For instance, could I create a product titled "The 5 Best Online Writing Courses I've Taken Personally, by 5 Expert Creators" that includes affiliate links to courses I've taken and recommend from various creators?
This is very insightful! I can already see another application: Newsletters. I can package up several articles around customer interviews on my website for people to easily consume. Do you think these "packages" would be effective to advertise? Or better to share when a single person asks?
Good to know!
Want more clients from your content? I'll show you how.
