4.8 out of 5 stars 707 ratings

Up against an enemy unlike anything she’s ever faced.
A simple recon mission in New York City brings a terrible truth to light: their enemy knows every secret Kenna has been hiding. She doesn’t want to accompany Preston to the UK, but doing so might give her the answers she’s been looking for. About everything. All her friends seem to think it’s inevitable she’s going, and when she’s given information about her mother…it just might be.

Her investigation reveals a history she’s never known.
Kenna’s case shines a light into dark parts of her past as she travels to the last place she’d have thought was connected to her history. Her faith and her loyalty to her friends are put to the test. She finds herself with new allies, all alone and on the run, chasing an enemy that could cost her everything she’s found.
And the future she wants with Jax.

Now it’s up to her brand of justice to solve this.

I chose a rating of 5 because I could not put this book down. It caught me right from the start. Its full of action and there are so many twists and turns you will love it. I would recomend reading the entire series. This story will keep you reading, especially if you have followed the entire series. Everything comes together and Lisa Phillips is an amazing writer. You will love all the characters and it has a happy ending. While reading it's non-stop action. It's also wonderful that the characters have become christians so it makes the most beautiful story. I would recomend this book to any christian or non-christian. It's amazing and will leave you wanting more and more. I don't want this series to end. Each book gets more intense. Oh my gosh I'm telling you to start with the first book and I promise you that you will not be able to put them down, and this book was absolutely amazing because Kenna learns she has a family, both real and the people she works with who have basically adopted her and she loves them all. She also grows into her relationship with her boy friend Jax. It's really a wonderful book and I would recomend it to anyone. Please start with the first book and read them all so you can love the characters. Thank you Lisa Phillips for yet another amazing book and for bringing God into the mess that the characters always find themselves in.

Finally a better balance of story, character building, a little romance, and suspense. This book is the sigh at the end of waiting for the books to align and for more of Kenna’s past to finally unfolded. It took till book ten, but it finally happened. Honestly, I questioned if I would keep reading, and there are still a couple things that still bother me. Mazie cannot continue to be 17 for ever. The fact she started as 19, continues to slightly annoy me. But, the details are like that. They don’t take away from the story. Ramon’s constant reminder that Kenna has a boyfriend by calling him that is good storytelling, plus their friendship seems to be in a sweet spot. I have come to love his character. Their partnership has really helped evolve Kenna’s character and they have a solid friendship which is palpable. Just a great book! I could go to on, but this is a complete book. I would not say you could read it without reading the previous books. I think you could read the first book and skip to book 4… but each book does add to the story.

I have read each of the Brand of Justice books. They each stand alone; wonderful stories with characters well developed & you can follow through the books. This is Jax (FBI) and Kenna’s story. They’ve been in earlier books, but this is more in depth deveopment of their characters. This novel has a twist at every turn. Part of the mystery happened dozens of years earlier and still impacts the present. There’s intrigue, tons of bad people imbedded in politics, several police organizations, and every aspect of society. There are missing women, plots galore for power, wealth, manipulating the present and future. Every piece of the puzzle discovered brings more questions than answers. Lisa Phillips has written another amazing book that is hard to put down. This is a must read if you enjoy intrique, who dun it, and mystery. I highly recommend this book. Can’t wait for the next installment!

This book did not become interesting until I had struggled through 44% of the book. Too much back story and emphasis on the emotions of the main character. It is one of those books I simply kept reading to get to the end of the story. Only, it wasn’t an ending, just a segue to the next book, which is supposed to be the last of the series. It won’t come out until April 2025. If you have been following this series, you will want to read Book 10 in order to be prepared for Book 11.

I started this series a while ago... now I feel like I know the characters and can't wait to find out what's next...THAT'S a great series! And I really love how faith in God Almighty is very realistically woven into the story...messy lives; faithful GOD... always!

I have really enjoyed this series and this story is no exception. There is a lot of tension and action. I love how Kenna grows more in her faith throughout the series and learns more about her own background.

While Kenna, Jax, Stairns, Ramon, and Maizie gather in London to try to shut down the international enterprise of kidnapping young women and using them like brood mares, it turns out their prey is in France. This is a twisty-turny plot and well done by Lisa Phillips. We are a little closer to getting Jax and Kenna together but it's going to take at least one more book. I recommend reading the whole series in order or you'll never figure out who is who. I think I must have missed the last one because I don't remember anything about New Orleans. Going back to it will be anticlimactic after this one.

There was another complex and disturbing case which we may hear more about in a future book. Kenna learned a lot about her family, and gained insight into herself as well. There was also lots of Jax. :-) I really hope the next one comes out soon!
