Awesome!! Sandra Long has such incredible nuggets and learnings to share about LinkedIn!
Yes! Such a great subject for college students!
Sandra Long Thank you so much for speaking to our class on Monday. Just when I got comfortable with my LinkedIn profile, you showed me I can always improve and always find areas to work on. In a world where we’re always trying to impress others, you made me realize that I should remain authentic to myself along the way. Thank you again for portraying these meaningful lessons and I will certainly use to better myself throughout my career and my life.
Sandra Long Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our ITR class and lend us your knowledge. You are so engaging and provided many helpful insights for students, prospective interns, and soon-to-be post-grads! I really enjoyed hearing about how authenticity can be a way to maximize your personal brand through tools such as LinkedIn. Thank you again for your time!
Thank you Sandra Long for taking the time out of your busy schedule to speak to our ITR 300 class. As a second semester senior graduating this upcoming May, I learned a lot of valuable lessons on how to make the perfect LinkedIn profile. The main takeaway I got from the presentation was that LinkedIn profiles should be written in the first person point of view, and resumes shouldn’t be. I learned that having your LinkedIn profile written in first person makes it sound more friendly and personable to the audience or any recruiters that come across your page. I also learned that LinkedIn is the number one social media platform for job networking, and that you should connect with everyone you know, whether they’re from high school, college, or someone studying the same respective major as you. Once again, thank you again for speaking to our class, and thank you Gail Lowney Alofsin for making this happen!
Gail Lowney Alofsin Learning to maximize the use of LinkedIn’s capability to strengthen professional presence is so important for today’s professionals!
Thank you Sandra Long for stopping by and educating our ITR 300 class on the utilization of LinkedIn! I know I speak for my classmates as well when I say we will be better tooled to represented ourselves on this platform thanks to your advice. Specifically your point on communicating your value effectively with keywords, telling our story, and adding personal anecdotes and details to our profiles. Again, thank you for your time, it was much appreciated.
Thank you Sandra Long for an awesome discussion today! It was nice to learn more about how to be more noticeable and active on LinkedIn. I loved you’re point on being the “orange fish” among the sea of blue fish. I think that is some of the best advice that I’ve heard while participating in this class and I will certainly keep that mindset when continuing to further my professional career. I also appreciated how you emphasized personal anecdotes and staying authentic when designing our LinkedIn page! Thank you once again!
