I’m loving Soundwave so far!! It’s a social media app that feels more honest and less performative. I think it has enormous potential to connect people in an authentic way. We’re human beings speaking to other human beings. It’s like a long distance conversation with new friends all over the world all at the touch of a record button.
This is such a cool way to connect with others on the fly. You don’t have to worry about getting dolled up for a full-fledged video. You can get your thoughts, ideas, and conversation starters across quickly in a stress-free environment.
I really like this app and the idea behind it! I love that people care share their thoughts and experiences with just their voice. I think it takes a lot of pressures off of the visual side of social media and makes it more personal. Highly recommend!
It is therapeutic to be able to speak and express your thoughts and ideas freely. This is app is a nice way to not only do that but to share it with others. Good alternative to other social media apps.
Today I’ve literally laughed and cried in conversations on Soundwave. There is an openness, safety, and fun in having conversations with people all over the world, finding out what is on their mind and finding some community.
What is it about hearing someone’s voice that’s so intimate? What is it about hearing someone’s voice—and using your own—that makes audio apps so intimate and engaging? We think short-form audio is the next frontier for social media apps.
