You don’t know what you’re doing. You think you do, but you don’t. The path we’re traveling often only becomes clear in retrospect. I didn’t set out to become a podcaster, have a YouTube channel, or have 500+ people pay an annual membership fee to learn from me. The steps of my journey make complete sense in retrospect, but… I had no idea this was where I was headed. And I don’t know where I’m headed next. Neither do you. But that’s OK. Stop putting pressure on yourself to have it all figured out. You’ll figure it all out eventually… In retrospect.
I finally figured this out for myself this year. I took the pressure off. I took the pressure off the I took the pressure off the vision. this doesn’t mean don’t have a strategy or a plan. Do. But understand that so much clarity comes in the process.
Sounds like a line in 'Finding Nemo' that tells you what you don't want to hear. The response will always be, "Of course I know what I'm doing!" We often tell ourselves," People can't know what I want other than me." That may be true, but your question is, "Do you know what you're doing?" It makes a huge difference between apparent reality and actual reality. To know what you want but don't know what you're doing to get it. Valid point there Josh.
So encouraging to hear this!! As a new creator, it’s easy for me to feel like I need to have everything perfect, but the journey takes time and I need to remind myself of that!
Yup I don't know what I'm doing, but I know what I've done. And I'm going to build on that and see where it takes me.
Thanks for sharing
The only thing I'm certain of is that I don't know what I'm doing 😅
Starting something new. And sharing the story.
11moLove this perspective. We often need time and distance to see how all the dots connect. It's impossible to do it in the present. I've slowed myself down so much by trying to figure everything out. Take things 1 day at a time and do your best -- this is the secret ingredient. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work Josh!
