Events can be supercharged with LinkedIn in SO many ways. Just think about the opportunities for event organizers, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees. Each event stakeholder is looking to grow their opportunities, and this is just a snapshot of how LinkedIn can assist. ✅ Organizers - can grow their registrations, sponsorships, and attendee /speaker engagement by leveraging visibility and personalized outreach. They can create a digital community around their event and make a long-lasting impression. Organizers can make their event more valuable to attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors by using LinkedIn. ✅ Sponsors and exhibitors - can increase leads, traffic, online and onsite activity with advanced research, personalized outreach, thought leadership, and content before, during, and after the event. They can start early to make their brand or booth more visible and visited. They can build relationships that carry them forward. Sponsors and exhibitors can improve results and leverage their marketing spend by using LinkedIn. ✅ Speakers - can be more visible and known for their speaking and expertise. They can build relationships and find opportunities before, during, and after the conference. They can connect with other speakers as well as all the other stakeholders including meeting planners. They can leverage video throughout the conference. Speakers can be found and noticed on LinkedIn leading to more gigs. ✅ Attendees - can find prospects and clients. They can engage and impress them using LinkedIn. They can be noticed and build relationships with all the other stakeholders. They can set up meetings in advance. They can take advantage of mobile event apps and LinkedIn simultaneously. Attendees can have a more valuable event experience by leveraging LinkedIn before, during, and after. I am pretty good about keeping a secret. I got a note from LinkedIn saying that I was in the beta test of a new video 🎥 feature, but they asked me not to share it with anyone. Within just a few ⏰ hours, I saw this news 🗞 plastered everywhere. This new feature is interesting. It's available on mobile 📲 only. There is a new tab dedicated just to video. Yup, it reminds me of a TikTok feed. Yes, I will be trying to test it out because I like to test all LinkedIn features. I played around with LinkedIn Stories a few years ago, but I honestly wasn't that good at it. So I will do my best to master this new one. A few questions for you all. Are you part of this new video beta test? Did you like LinkedIn Stories? Do you use TikTok? Would you keep this a secret? We are at week #4 of March ☘️ and Women's History Month. I have been spotlighting a new woman each week on LinkedIn for my network. I am fortunate to know some amazing women! Today I want to introduce you to my good friend Gail Lowney Alofsin Gail is a keynote speaker, author, and humanitarian. She is also a professor. AND she is a sales and sponsorship expert and leader. Humanitarian? Yes, she donates her book proceeds to charity. She has been helping people in Haiti for decades. Gail also serves on several non-profit boards in her community. Author? She wrote "Your Someday is NOW - What are YOU Waiting for?" and this title sums her up quite well. Fantastic book. 📕 Speaker? Yes, she speaks about positivity, leadership, productivity, employee engagement, sales, and sponsorship. People love her talks. Teacher? Gail is a professor at the University of Rhode Island, Salve Regina, and Western CT State University. Sales and Sponsorship Executive? Gail represents the Newport International Boat Show and I can tell you that she takes great care of her clients. As we close off March, let's recognize Gail as an amazing woman! Happy Women's History Month.

Gratitude ❤️ today for my client The University of Montana - College of Business. We had a wonderful interactive "LinkedIn for Leaders" session today with their advisory board members. What an amazing group. And let me tell you about this incredible school..... ✅ 82% of the students graduate and start working or go to grad school within three months ✅ 89% of seniors graduate with at least one paid internship under their belt. Great experience! ✅ The school offers experiential learning and study 🌎 abroad too. ✅ The faculty, advisors, and staff are laser-focused on student success. What an extremely impressive team. March has been exciting because it's Women's History Month - and I am spotlighting an amazing woman each week. This is week 3 and I want to tell you about Milena Erwin who is the Executive Director at Connecticut Technology Council I have been impressed with Milena since the first time we met. I got to know Milena when she first hired me to speak for the Women's Entrepreneurial Center associated with the University of Hartford a few years ago. I knew right then and there.......that she was a woman to know and watch and learn from. Milena is.............. ✅ A multi-lingual multi-cultural global business leader and educator ✅ First-generation immigrant fluent in English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Bulgarian (native language). She has worked on 3 continents. ✅ A long-time advocate for women in business ✅ A faculty member at Quinnipiac University ✅ A faculty member at University of Connecticut School of Business ✅ A business instructor at the Center for Women and Enterprise in Massachusetts ✅ Helped to expand the CT Business Matchmaker event to support diverse suppliers ✅ a speaker, presenter, program creator and facilitator…..and a wonderful person too! LinkedIn Skills and Endorsements. Today I ran a class for the amazing folks at NBB, and we focused on LinkedIn skills and endorsements. Here are some of the things we discussed: ✅ Value of skills for being found (search) and personal branding ✅ Identify all the areas in the LinkedIn profile that can feature your skills. (Some of these are newish) ✅. How to prioritize, reorganize, and optimize for best results and visibility ✅ How to cast your net wider and identify additional skills with ChatGPT. ✅. How to identify additional skills within LinkedIn that may be applicable to you ✅. I just read an article from the Economic Times that LinkedIn is introducing games onto the platform. The purpose? To extend the time spent on the site by users. And the interesting thing is that the Microsoft connection is likely a factor since they own LinkedIn and are also a major gaming company now. So what about YOU? Will you play games here? #linkedin

Speaker Friends: Today is Professional Speakers Day which is celebrated 🌎 globally. It got me thinking about the variety of speaking opportunities as well as reasons that we love speaking. Starting with.........What kind of stage do you prefer? Big international stages, local company stages, conference stages, podcast stages, Zoom stages, and everything in between. What do YOU prefer? And a second question.............WHY do you speak? For me, I like the LISTENING part of speaking. For every speaking engagement, I listen and learn from my client.
