November Baking Challenge Results
November 2022 Sallyโs Baking Challenge Recipe: Caramel Apple Cheesecake Pie. It was such a special joy to see so many bakers all over the world try this mega-layered cheesecake pie. Many readers in the U.S. made this as their Thanksgiving dessert, and others even turned the recipe into individual caramel apple cheesecake cups and caramel apple cheesecake bars! Many agreed that the biggest challenge wasโฆ waiting for the cheesecake to cool before digging in. ๐
Thank you so much for participating! We gathered as many emailed photo entries as we could and included them below.

This recipe was fun, cutting the cookies was tricky though. Would love some tips on how to make them more even. The cookies taste fantastic and were a hit at my Christmas party.
Fun cookies to make for the Christmas Parties they were a hit
I enjoyed making this recipe, my first time at this kind of cookie!
I should have made it again and fixed some of my mistakes! It is best to take your pizza cutter and trim the edges to make them straight and line up!
My recommendation is to read Sallyโs hints and helps!! My husband loves the cookies! Will try again!
I have a question. I have to make several dozen Christmas cookies for an event. My one solution to organizing my time is to freeze the dough and then start making the cookies closer to the time I need them. What are you thoughts about freezing cookie dough? Eileen
Hi Eileen, we love freezing cookie dough! We have a whole post about it here. We also include freezing directions in the recipe Notes of all our cookie recipes. Happy baking!
