Time ⏰ Management…..,Today I was a panelist on a virtual program for employees at a wonderful bank. One of the questions was about managing time on LinkedIn. Here are a few thoughts: ✅ If your priorities are sales, brand visibility, or hiring then spending time on personal branding, content, and networking on LinkedIn is a valuable pursuit. Make sure your time spent on LinkedIn is focused on your top priorities. ✅ Focus on relationships. My mantra is “Be the Friend First” when it comes to LinkedIn. Visit your prospect's profile and content and engage with their posts. Show gratitude. Continue the conversation. ✅ Manage your own feed by unfollowing people who post things that are not relevant to you. ✅ Use the mobile app 📱to optimize your time. Every time you are waiting somewhere, check in on your network. What else can you add about time management on LinkedIn? #linkedin #timemanagement ------------------------------------------ Sandra Long Post Road Consulting: LinkedIn and Social Selling Training
Absolutely, Sandra! To add to your insightful points, let's remember what Stephen R. Covey once said: “The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” 🕰️ By aligning our LinkedIn activities with our deepest priorities, we ensure that every minute spent is a step towards our goals. #prioritizewisely #linkedinstrategies

Also, curating your feed for relevance can drastically improve the quality of your LinkedIn experience. What strategies do others use to balance their time and engagement on LinkedIn effectively, ensuring it aligns with their professional objectives?
Sandra Long, you always provide easy to understand advice. 👍 “Be the friend first” is great advice. To me, it is something that people should always do, when networking. Therefore, it is important to keep in mind that LinkedIn is the ultimate networking tool, and apply this technique both on and off of LinkedIn.
As one of Sandra Long's first customers I am inspired by her hard work and dedication to the business community every day. Sandra is your perfect go to for how to make the most of LinkedIn, simply follow her and you will always learn something new. Best, Felix
Great advice Sandra Long. There are a lot of people on LinkedIn in a hurry to sell you something and it's an instant turn off.
Be the friend first is such great advice. By being of service to others, you open the possibility of collaboration. If you start to sell before “being the friend,” people tend to shut down. Thanks for sharing!
Linkedin: Be the friend first!! Couldn't have said it better Sandra Long
"Be a friend first." I love that way of thinking about LinkedIn. Thanks for the reminder Sandra Long!
Good suggestions Sandra Long. Yes, I have found it helpful unfollowing people who post things that are not relevant. I would add to your list: setting boundaries around the time you spend on LinkedIn – it is easy to get lost going down rabbit holes!

2moBuilding my personal brand on LinkedIn has become second nature to me. In doing so, I make a point of checking in on the top 6-8 profiles who matter a lot to me professionally to see what they are discussing and up to. I choose to do this rather than just hope they appear as I randomly scroll. I consider this an investment in my strongest connections and an ongoing way to stay abreast of what the latest trends, issues and practices are. Works for me.
