Speaker 📣 Friends: Live or Virtual? I am still doing mostly virtual speaking. Every week I am busy with virtual classes, webinars, or speaking engagements. And only going in person just about once or twice a month 📅. I personally like both, but virtual has become so EASY 😌 for me now. In-person has indescribable energy ⚡️ and moments of connection, even if in the hallway or after your speech. What's your preference and why? #speakers #nsa This post was inspired by Julius Solaris who wrote about event organizers optimizing virtual vs in-person this morning. Thanks Julius!

I'd have to say that I learn toward VIRTUAL!!!! I've been able to do presentations in Australia - and I'm pretty sure the people that called me in wouldn't have covered the cost of transportation. I do enjoy "in person" presentations, those have a certain energy that can't be met elsewhere, and honestly as a consultant I find I get better ROI (if ROI = paying clients 😁 ) from in person events -- but over all I get better traction (see ROI above) from virtual because I can do more events in more places.

Virtual and in-person each have their pros and cons, of course. But, I have to say that there is nothing like getting back to live, in-person keynotes and other speaking engagements! There is never the same energy in a virtual setting as there is with real people engaged face-to-face! Having a mix of the two certainly allows for a broader reach, however.

The essence of the in person can't be beat when you go virtually. The conversations you have pre and post speech never happen virtually. In person I feel more connected with the audience because I have spent time in the crowd. However, traveling can become taxing so I have to balance my in person and virtual engagements. I have to balance whats best for the audience with what best for the speaker Sandra!

I prefer in person because of the energy and connections to the audience and the message. That being said, virtual is not going away and we have to be able to entertain and educate with both.

I like both, Sandra Long but since we've come to accept virtual presentations it makes it a lot easier to reach a wider audience AND I am much more selective about who I want to travel to and why. Great question.

I love the variety, Sandra! Always a fan of the silver lining, having the virtual option was a gift we received from enduring the pandemic. But energetically speaking in person is my favorite. I love engaging with leaders and providing an event experience that is truly an ADVENTURE!

Sandra Long like you I do both. Virtual is easy and you have greater reach. But the energy In Person is pretty amazing and a little change of scenery doesn’t hurt either.

Sandra Long - I enjoy and appreciate both. The energy of live is terrific for both the speaker and audience. Virtual offers a wider reach. Any opportunity to present and meet people is gift.☀️

Great question, Sandra Long! To me, it's not either/or, but both! I love the convenience of being able to deliver my webinars across the country or around the globe from the comfort of my home office...but I also love delivering presentations and facilitating my management, leadership, and teambuilding workshops to my clients in-person.

Both virtual and in-person speaking have their pros and cons. Virtual allows us to provide flexibility and to reach further, and in-person can be very energizing and inspiring Sandra Long. It's wonderful we have the option to do both these days!
