In honor of this date 2- 22 -22, I want to share 22 ideas of how to "Be a Friend First" on LinkedIn, which also happens to be my mantra and philosophy about using the platform. This is really just a partial list, believe it or not! 1. Leave an insightful comment on your friend or client's post 2. Introduce your connection to a valuable new contact 3. Create a gratitude post to thank a person, team, or company 4. Endorse your coworker for one of their skills 5. Send a private video 📹 message to express support or to say hello 6. Write an article 🗞 which mentions your client or friend 7. Send a thoughtful note with an invitation 📧 to connect 8. Introduce a new grad to a potential employer through private message to both 9. Write a recommendation for your supplier or partner 10. Discuss with a co-worker how you can support each other on Linkedin, and then make it happen 11. Write a post about your friend who just achieved something ( promotion, new job, book 📕, article, presentation, award) 12. Leave a comment to start or expand a conversation - either in the feed or in a group 13. Share your friend's article with a great intro comment 14. Send an invitation to connect with a nice note to someone from your followers list 13. Post a native video to recommend your friend's new book 📘 14. Join a LinkedIn Audio 🎧 Event and use the reactions to send your feedback to the host 15. Send a congratulations 👏 note in private message to someone with a new job. Personalize it. 16. Send a happy birthday note 17. Create a "give kudos" post to recognize a job well done 18. Post a poll 📊 which resonates with your network 19. Create a "welcome to the team" post for a new colleague 20. Join a LinkedIn Audio event and raise your hand 🤚 to speak. Ask a question or offer a tip. 21. Accept your connection's invitation and join their Live or Audio event 22. Subscribe to your friend's new newsletter. 23. BONUS: Ring the profile bell 🔔 for people you wish to engage with regularly Please add ADDITIONAL ideas, or tell me which one is your favorite? I really can't wait to see your comments and celebrate you! Thank you in advance

Thanks and very useful. I do like no 7 because I do get fed up when people want to connect to me and don't attach a note especially when I don't know them

Terrific ideas! When we give, we get. Often, there is not a direct correlation, so it is best done without expectations. Just do it because it feels good and it's the right thing to do.
