Since we are all hearing about International Women's Day and Women's History Month, it got me thinking 💡 about how we all help each other within organizations. I am involved in a few groups of women and wondering about YOU - my LinkedIn connections. My women's groups are: ✅ Women Sales Pros - with Lori Richardson ✅ Power Women of NSA - part of the National Speakers Association ✅ Innovation Women - with Bobbie Carlton What women's groups do YOU belong to and why? #women #internationalwomensday #womeninbusiness ---------------------------------- Connect or follow and ring bell 🔔 Sandra Long Post Road Consulting: LinkedIn and Social Selling Training
I'm especially aware of my strong connections with many professional women this month. Not presently a part of any formal group but find I confer with members of what I affectionately call my "corral" of brilliant folks on a regular basis. And, they know they can turn to me to be a sounding board, editor, or collaborator when needed. All they need do is reach out. Truthfully, I couldn't achieve all I do without their support and guidance.
Hi Sandra, until recently I was a member of Chief. But I gave up the exclusive very expensive membership because the ROI simply was not there. Right now I belong to several professional groups in supply chain and procurment, but nothing that is exclusively for women.
Girls Who Print is the group I belong to created by Deborah Corn
We need to have support groups and systems to go after bigger things, the law of social influence is at work when we do! You rise to the level of the people closest to you...I know for a fact I would not be where I am now, doing what I love if not for my fellow Women Sales Pros. And I was never that person who took part in "womens groups", but learned that seeing the example is half the battle!
Great question! I’m a member of several professional women’s networks that range from being international or local, large or exclusively small, and most are now hybrid so meeting both online and in-person. One that consistently holds learning and networking events for entrepreneurs, executives, and career rising stars is Ellevate Network. Ellevate attracts wonderfully supportive, accomplished women. Check out its programs. Perhaps I’ll see you on one of the calls!
Thanks for the shout-out for Innovation Women, Sandra! Our #SpeakerFriends gatherings have grown so much in terms of reach and impact! https://innovationwomen.com/resources/speaker-friends/
I belong to Women Sales Pros and a big thank you to Lori Richardson for all she does as our leader. Anyone who knows me well, I need to add Girl Scouts of the USA -- building tomorrow's women leaders. To quote founder Juliette Gordon Low, "girls with dreams become women with vision."
I am also with Women Sales Pros and Innovation Women. #GirlsClub, Women in Sales and have a group of 5 women and 2 men, who serve as my Trusted Advisors!
I count on my various groups of women to learn, support, and in some cases assure accountability for goals and progress. Shout out to WomenSalesPros and Lori Richardson

1yI'll second Power Women of NSA, also find value in being part of the facilitator & speaker community of MPI, BNI, Innovation Women...and realizing everything but Innovation Women is an acronym. LOL
