Q: Are the wet ones extra gentle wipes antibacterial?

A: Thank you for your question. Wet Ones Sensitive Skin Hand and Face Wipes do not contain antibacterial ingredients. They are a specialized formula with ingredients such as witch hazel, cucumber, chamomile, and aloe, created to provide those with extra sensitive skin a way to remove dirt and mess from their hands and face.

submitted byTargetCustomer - 8 years agoA: Nowhere on the package does it say "antibacterial." The top ingredient on the list is witch hazel, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Hope that helps.

A: Windex isn't antibacterial and does an excellent job of cleaning windows. Same premise. Antibacterial has nothing to do with cleaning, it means removing bacteria, which is not necessarily dirt.

Purchased the sensitive skin ones— I needed a wet towelette for work when I snack and need to wipe my hands. These work great but these non-scented ones smell utterly disgusting, I can’t explain the smell. It does go away once dry but the initial stink is nasty :/ Will try the lavender ones next.

For years, these have been my go to wipe but no longer. Wet Ones has clearly changed the materials of the wipe itself, going from what was more cloth like to now more papery. It rips easier and gets little bits of lint all over clothing. Wet Ones I know finances are tight for companies, but customers prefer quality!

Terrible wipes. Just buy the regular wet ones. These tear in to tiny pieces and you can never get a full wipe out. It’s a waste of money!

This formula is totally different from what I got in Australia, the Wet Ones Sensitive in Australia contains Benzalkonium Chloride, means they kill germs. The US version Wet Ones Sensitive contains no disinfectant AT ALL! If you do not disinfect, why do you call yourself Wet Ones? Why don’t I just go for some baby wipes? People buy Wet Ones assuming they disinfect!

These wipes are not what they used to be. The company has ruined this product by now using a material that poses a health hazard, despositing tiny white fibers all over your hands. The company told me they fixed the product, so I bought more, but the new ones are just the same garbage product with the same problem. I would not recommend these wipes to anyone.

Edgewell is working diligently to repair our facility. We expect to solve the issue in October. In the meantime, be rest assured that the product is safe to use. This issue only impacts our wipes that come in a 20 count travel pack pouches. If you are in a hurry, you can buy the wipes that come in the 40 count canisters, 24 count singles individually wrapped for your convenience and 28 count travel pack pouches that are great for on-the-go.

I always buy these and stick them in my car. They’ve always been very good quality, but I notice the quality of this recent batch (bought July 2024) is terrible. The fibers come off and get stuck on my hand. It also blows around everywhere. It is obviously not used with the same exact materials as before and they need to bring back their original quality.

I wanted to get wipes for my car, because they would fit perfectly in a cupholder, but it was honestly a massive mistake, for several reasons: 1. Ranchid smell - it;s absolutely terrible, I would rather have babys blowout sceneted wipes than this creation. 2. Lint is everywhere - when you wipe anything off with them you can see a distinct trail of lint pieces. 3. Sticky - after the size everything will be extremely sticky and on top of that covered in lint 4. Container leaks - I left it in the car and it leaked through the countainer on my registration and car insurance. It was absolutely terrible.
