I just gotta share! Yesterday I participated in a panel discussion on Live and conversed with some really super folks. Well, you just have to know about them. The topic was Leadership at All Levels, hosted by Gail Lowney Alofsin for this episode .....and was part of Bart Berkey's regular program on Wednesdays called "Most People Don't Academy." In addition to the incredible insights from Gail and Bart, I learned from: ✅ Wayne Robinson - talked about putting others first and thinking more broadly about leadership. ✅ Doug Baarman - described how remote leaders need to earn trust, show value to the team, listen, and have empathy. ✅ Joshua David - says don't be "good cattle," and instead listen, evaluate, and determine real solutions. Above all - take responsibility ✅ Kelly Bishop, - told a compelling story about her son with the lesson being to be able to "shake things off" and turn the corner. Instead of staying down........get to where you are saying "Let's Go!" As for me, I talked about my "Be the Friend First" philosophy and creating a leadership mindset for LinkedIn. I hope you will want to join a Live with Bart or Gail in the future. It was fast - 30 minutes - and oh so interesting. I especially loved ❤️ everyone's stories! #leadership #leaders #linkedin ------------------- Please follow or connect with me Sandra Long
"But I can't say anything, it's not my role" "I have a great idea, but can't share it as it needs to come from a VP" "My boss needs to think its her idea so she can can credit" Leadership comes in different shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. Leadership may not always come with a title. We've all followed people with the best ideas, the greatest empathy, and the most collaboration. We may not have followed them because of their position or status. Join us for this lively call on how you can EXPAND YOUR OWN LEADERSHIP regardless of your title. Good ideas are needed. Great examples must be set and YOU ARE THE PERSON TO SET THEM. This is how... Moderated by the superb humanitarian Gail Alofsin, with special guest LinkedIn Leader Expert Sandra Long. Other panelists include Kelly Bishop, Doug Baarman, Joshua David, and Wayne Robinson.

Thank you for capsulizing those vital leadership messages Sandra Long. Your leadership mindset strategic recommendation to think of who on LinkedIn could help them lead their organization or team members is valuable. Leaders can get so busy that they can forget they don't have to do so much of it alone.
