How do YOU follow up with a sales or business prospect? LinkedIn offers us so many options to stay "top of mind" 🤯 immediately after that meeting or call. Here are some ideas which are really part of my "Be a Friend First" methodology, but please add your own. Also, I would love ❤️ to know which of these is your favorite method. ✅ Leave a friendly thank you message via LinkedIn messaging or InMail. 📧Consider text, video, or audio options! ✅ Connect 🖇 with your contact. If you have already connected, think about who else you should connect with as a follow on to the conversation. Perhaps he or she mentioned a colleague for example. ✅ Review their profile content and mention or promote that, as appropriate. Look especially in the featured section. In your profile research, look for ways you can help them. ✅ Introduce 🤝 your prospect to a valuable new connection. ✅ Go to their profile and endorse them for a skill you have observed. Or consider writing a recommendation if appropriate. ✅ Follow their company page, and then make a comment. ✅ Invite them to follow your company page. ✅ Look for the prospect's content. Discover any articles or newsletters 🗞 and make helpful and supportive comments. Subscribe to their newsletter so you receive future editions. ✅ Comment on your contact's posts, videos, etc. Be sure to leave an insightful or supportive comment with an @mention. ✅ Create gratitude content, @mentioning them if appropriate and appreciated. This can be a text post, video, or any type of content. ✅ Create a poll 📊 about a topic that you just discussed with your prospect. Indicate that the conversation with her was your inspiration. Use the @mention in your post. ✅ Invite your prospect to an event featured on LinkedIn. ✅ Invite them to join a group that is relevant and strategic. ✅ Send them an article or link to a valuable post. Please add to this list OR let me know what YOU do or wish to do? ------------------------- Sandra Long Post Road Consulting: LinkedIn and Social Selling Training #sales #linkedin Please follow my new hashtag ⬇️ #SalesBySandra

All great suggestions! I'll add one if you want to establish a follow up during a prospect meeting - secure that next step early. Much earlier than you might think. Waiting until the 'Wrap up/next steps' item at the end of your agenda rarely works.

I love all the suggestions too! Following up with a short video is an awesome way to make the connection more "real" and memorable.

Fantastic ideas! I also love seeing who we have in common - mutual connections. That automatically starts a conversation.
