College Students: If you are still working to firm up a summer internship, remember you don't have to wait for positions to be posted or for companies to come on to campus. Reach out to local companies and speak with people to gauge their interest in taking on an intern for the summer. For the company, it's low cost (NOT free; make sure it's paid) and low risk with tons of upside for both them and you. They get extra help and you get experience to add to your resume and your career story. Some companies are not even thinking about summer interns, but will if you bring it up. Don't worry if it's not a Fortune 500 Company. Just get the experience so you can then leverage it next summer for either another internship or a full-time role. #collegestudents #summerinternships #proactiveapproach

It helps build relationships with others at the company. If you are interning/working at an organization, never be nervous to introduce yourself. This can: ✅ Build relationships with others ✅ Increase your reach in the company ✅ Strengthen your personal brand and widen your network The more people that know you, the higher your chances are to land full-time employment or a network you can leverage later on.
