I BOASTED ABOUT IT AND… It would only be fair to tell you how it went😊 It was absolutely AMAZING, at least for me. First I feared nobody would come since it was the closing day of the Conference. Then I hoped nobody would come as I was getting cold feet. However, some people I admire promised to be there, so I rehearsed everything several times in my hotel room. My best friend didn’t get the idea at once, so I had to think quickly of how to explain a few things more clearly. On the day of the workshop I attended Lucy Holmes’ interesting talk, hurried to Room 3, quickly tried the PPP when suddenly it startes filling with people and this gave me additional motivation. In a nutshell, it all went really well, apart from some fumbling with the presentation pointer, I managed to finish in 45 minutes, had everyone’s attention and participation, and answered a few questions at the end. Some colleagues approached me afterwards with very generous feedback, including Debbie West, Marjorie R. and Evan Frendo. Stuart Haynes even mentioned the workshop in his LI post. The takeaway: well-done me, I say YES to future conferences!
