I had a cyber-security scare 😱 last week. I opened up a bad email from a friend. It eventually turned out OK but I had about 24 hours of worry because my calendar 📅 was so full .........and I didn't have the time to stop and focus on this potential threat. Finally, I am sorted with this after changing passwords and tightening things up. I was plain lucky. THEN I read the news this week that LinkedIn, Twitter - X, and DropBox were all compromised. It was a HUGE breach. Did you hear about it? My LinkedIn account is safe since I have always had two-factor authentication. ✅ I went to Dropbox and added two - factor immediately. ✅ no problem Then I went to Twitter (X). However, to get two-factor authentication from X, you need to upgrade. ❌ I just wanted to ask - do you have two-factor verification set up? How often do you change your passwords? Did you do anything about this huge breach this week? #security #linkedIn #twitter #dropbox
My brother can help. Ted Heiman, what can small businesses like me, and my friends do to protect themselves. I know that two factor authentication is a must. But what else?
2FA is both the bain of my existence and something I'm so grateful to have.
Definitely important to have two-factor authentication!
This further highlights the need to have 2FA activated.
This is a great reminder to make sure I have 2FA on all accounts! Thank you for the reminder Sandra Long!
Thank you for the reminder to check all my accounts.
I think it's ridiculous that Twitter wants to charge us so we can get security on our account. And YES I have 2FA enabled here and everywhere it is offered. It's worth the time. Do you have the news link about the data breach? I didn't hear about the latest one.
Sandra Long, thanks for the advice!
