If you want success on LinkedIn - ignore your LinkedIn analytics. They are most likely doing you more harm than good - here's why... Who can relate? 📉Click on analytics - Your voice inside - oh no, it is showing negative. I'm doing something wrong. I should give up. ☹️ Click on analytics - Your voice inside - oh, you're rubbish. Remember that post where such and such got a bazillion views? You should give up. 😻 Click on analytics - Your voice inside - oh yippee the numbers went up because my cat post went crazy, and everyone loved it. *waits by the phone with no leads* The stats in the carousel are mine, and depending on which you choose to look at, I'm going amazingly or backward. None of which relates to business growth, community power, content across platforms, new clients I've spoken to etc I see too many new LinkedIn Creators come unstuck, pouring over every single post looking for answers that aren't there. You wouldn't judge a book word by word, so why let one, two, three, or twenty posts define your LinkedIn journey? When employees start out on LinkedIn for advocacy programs, be mindful of this so you can support them through the learning process. LinkedIn Analytics have a bad habit of triggering comparison-itis and not confidence - would you agree? PS Don't worry; I don't look at them as pass or fail. They are just posts. I felt super lost when I first started using the app. All I was seeing then was oppression from every corner. People celebrating this and that. I asked myself if I could cope with this? You guessed my answer right, I ran away. I didn't have people to guide me then. Today we have a lot of people helping us find our feet on LinkedIn. I'd like to be one of those people helping us find our feet. Let's dive right into the topic of today!! Are you feeling lost on LinkedIn? Don't worry, you're not alone! I'm here to share some helpful insights to make your LinkedIn journey smoother and more rewarding. ⬛ Optimize Your Profile: This is the first step you should take. Start by ensuring your profile is complete and reflects your professional brand. Use keywords relevant to your industry to increase visibility. People think optimization is done once, and that's it? You're wrong. As you grow, acquire more skills. You're supposed to reflect that on your profile. ⬛ Explore Features: Most times, we don't take the time to study a platform. We just go right into posting and come back to lament later that we are not seeing results. Take the time to explore LinkedIn's features, such as the newsfeed, connections, groups, and messaging.
