Such an amazing app for a teacher!

I discovered this incredible app while distancing teaching during the pandemic. It’s so heartwarming to find out that Charlie created this for his teacher wife. I absolutely love that it does full screen mode as a document camera on my iPhone.

I do have a Yuuuge request: Would it be possible to create a version of this for the iOS 9.3.5 update? I would love to install it on old iPod touches that a colleague donated to me, but sadly the App Store says “Overviewer” is not compatible with this iPod. Our school just invested in large flatscreen tvs for us to screenshare for lessons and it would be a game changer to use these iPod touches as document cameras.

Great tool for virtual classes

I want to thank the developer for making this tool available for teachers for free. I have not used it with zoom yet but I watched the video and tried the functions in the app, such an easy to use tool with features exactly needed by teachers and students in virtual classrooms. It is heartwarming to know that there are ppl out there who genuinely wants to help teachers during this uncertain time. Thank you again Charlie.

Perfect at-home doc camera!

This app is great for teachers in remote teaching who don’t have a document camera or have the capacity to take theirs home from their school buildings. The setup is very easy to follow and almost foolproof. There’s a little bit of a lag in the video feed but only a couple seconds and doesn’t hinder productivity. You can zoom in using the “pinch” method on your phone screen. You would need to set your phone on an elevated platform such as a stack of books or boxes but a tripod probably works best in order to capture the image you want to project. Definitely recommend to teachers or others who need a document camera for video conferencing purposes.
