About this ebook

In this sweet and sexy spin-off of New York Times bestselling author Kate Pearce’s beloved Morgan Ranch series, the close-knit folks of Morgantown, California, have long memories—and big hearts to go with them.

Everyone in rancher Danny Miller’s life wants to know how he feels about his teenage flame returning to Morgan Valley. Danny wishes he knew. After the disastrous ending of their relationship, and Faith’s choice to leave town all those years ago, Danny’s rebuilt his life without her. But he’s about to have a very practical reason for needing her in it again—despite the very impractical desire she inspires once he lays eyes on her . . .

Faith McDonald hadn’t planned on returning home, but with her dad retiring, her help is needed at the family veterinary practice. She’s hoping that by now, folks have forgotten what happened between her and Danny—even if the two of them never can. With a mystery infection decimating the Miller cattle, she and Danny soon find themselves on the same side for the first time in forever. There was a lot of trouble in their past, but the good parts never really flamed out, including their intense attraction. And their shared determination to cure the cattle might just lead them to a healing of their own—and a whole new all-grown-up future . . .

Praise for The Rebellious Rancher

“Sensual. . . . This sexy tale is sure to please cowboy fans.”

Why is there so many gaps in the story and why is nothing resolved or completed. everything in this book is left hanging... nothing gets resolved. Danny and Faith en up together... great but then the grap she cant have any kids... very disappointing. nothing more gets said about their son Marcus? do they eventually meet him? like come on. there is so many time gaps in the chapters and sometimes Kate does not close the gaps or bring the book to a happy full circle that everything works out. end it with dome happiness... Faith and Danny fall pregnant its a miracle!!! and their Son Marcus tutns 18 and gets to meet perants with lots of forgiveness and love. Not happy with all the loose ends.

Sweet Talking Rancher by kate Pearce The Millers of Morgan Valley #5 Easy, comfortable, second chance romance that left a good feeling. It was nice to find out what happened between Danny and Faith and watch them rekindle the embers of a love that never truly died. They had moved on but not forgotten the person they once thought their soulmate even though half their lives had been lived since last seeing one another. What I liked: * Going back to Morgan Valley and finding out what was happening * Danny: rancher, son, brother, hard worker, good friend, there for his neighbors, trustworthy, warm, caring, interesting. * Faith: veterinarian, daughter, sister, divorced, focused, professional, caring, there for friends & Family, dedicated to her profession, trust issues. * Dave: Faith’s protective brother, veterinarian, lighter-hearted, in a relationship * Danny’s family: catching up with them and seeing the dynamics. * Catching up with the various people from previous books and thinking about what will happen next in the series and who might find their HEA. * Learning something new – about scours disease in cattle and its impact on animal and human * That it was an easy read that took me away * Wondering about what the couple will end up doing in their future. What I didn’t like: * The way choices the parents of Danny & Faith made in the past * Danny’s father…though he is growing on me, maybe? * Brandon & Callie: the ex-husband and one-time-friend of Faith * The small-mindedness of the community * The dying of the cows Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more in this series? Yes Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington-Zebra for the ARC – this is my honest review. 4-5 Stars

I always enjoy Kate Pearce's work. This one surprised me. It wasn't one of my favorites. I can say that I didn't like Danny's father anymore in this book , than I did in previous books. I can also say that I wasn't thrilled with either of Faith's parents. It seemed to me like most of the people in this town had some kind of grievance about something. It didn't feel like a happy place. Trying to be completely honest, I know the situation with the possible outbreak was used to bring Danny and Faith closer. I thought more time was spent on the cows than on Danny, Faith, their past situation and their romance. I also feel kind of cheated. After reading through pages and pages of cow infections, trying to piece together their back story with information only gained by a process resembling dripping water, the back and forth uncertainty of them as a couple, throwing in the ridiculousness of Faith's relationship with her business partners, and then Jeff's revelation, we got one scene with Faith and Danny and the book ends. There was a long, and often tedious path to the end of this book. It was so unlike the author's previous works, I had to double check the identity of the writer. There was more struggle than romance in this book. I only wish that the last chapter could have been drawn out to include the reactions to Danny and Faith's decision, or something about Danny's decision about his future, his career; or, ANYTHING about what was next for them. I admit to being disappointed. It was just a LONG, ok read for me. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received from NetGalley.
